For sale is a fascinating historical lot consisting of an original WWII U. Army Air Forces (USAAF) Type E-1 Bombardier's Case alongside a matching pair of M-1938 dismounted canvas leggings. This estate group features clear veteran identification stenciled onto the main flight bag. ### Item 1: USAAF Type E-1 Bombardier / Flight Navigator Case.

Identification: Clear original black stenciling reads: A. The "36" serial prefix indicates enlistment out of Illinois, Michigan, or Wisconsin (6th Service Command).

Interior: Clean condition featuring the dedicated canvas multi-pocket partition walls on the bottom, intended for flight logs, navigation calculators (E-6B), and maps. The top panel retains its technical instrument divider bands. Hardware Condition Note: The leather-wrapped carry handles are sound and intact. Please Note: The heavy main perimeter zipper track is split/broken and does not currently open/close smoothly. Army M-1938 Canvas Leggings (Gaiters). Details: Standard-issue heavy Olive Drab (OD) cotton duck canvas spats worn over low-quarter service shoes. Hardware: Features all original black-finished steel lacing hooks and eyelets. Includes both heavy canvas under-boot adjustment straps and functional steel adjustment buckles. Condition: Solid vintage shape with excellent display coloring. Standard minor oxidation/green patina on the metal eyelets, confirming uncleaned authenticity.
