WWII US Army Air Force Tidal Life Raft Survival Map Oil Cloth North Atlantic. These were folded and kept inside liferafts carried aboard B-17 flying fortresses. Very few of these were manufactured and even fewer survived due to their fragile condition.

The type of oil cloth becomes brittle as you can see from the condition of this map. The map shows separation along creases.

The top and lower right pieces of the map are separated completely from the rest. This is an exceedingly scarce World War II US map, rarely found in any condition.
