This is an extremely fine World War II Army Air Corps Glider Pilot's Juarez Pattern wing in silver that remains in excellent condition. The wing is full size and measures 3 inches from wing tip to wing tip. It is extremely well struck and exhibits sharp detail.
The reverse is incised with'STERLING' on the reverse of the central shield. The original pin and roller locking catch are present but the roller on the catch is missing as was sometimes removed by the wearer.
The silver on both the obverse and reverse side is with an attractive age toned patina. A beautiful looking wing in excellent, undamaged condition.
