WWII Japanese original Army Air Force leather winter flight helmet / pil

Original Japanese leather aviation cap from World War II. Features brown leather construction with padded ear covers, fur-lined interior, chin strap, and rear adjustment strap. This helmet displays beautifully and has excellent age and character with attractive patina to the leather. Leather remains supple overall with expected age wear and patina.

Some fur lining is still present inside. Chin strap and hardware present. The front star insignia is no longer present, though the outline/stitching location can still clearly be seen on the front where it was originally attached (please see photos).

Expected wear, scuffs, crazing, age cracking, and use from age/storage. Please review all photos carefully as they are part of the description. A great example for the WWII Japanese militaria, aviation, pilot, or Pacific War collector, and displays very nicely on a mannequin head.
