Original Wwii Us Army Air Force A-11 Leather Flight Helmet

This is an authentic WWII-era A-11 intermediate flying helmet, used by U. Army Air Force pilots and aircrew members during the war.

Manufactured by the Switlik Parachute & Equipment Company, this helmet features soft brown leather construction, chamois-lined interior for comfort, and black rubber ear cups designed to accommodate communication equipment. The original contract label is fully intact, clearly displaying the specification number and military stock details.

Retaining its original chinstrap and goggle straps, this piece is an outstanding example of wartime-issued flight gear. The A-11 flight helmet was standard issue for pilots and crew operating aircraft such as the B-17 Flying Fortress, B-24 Liberator, and P-51 Mustang in both European and Pacific theaters.
