This is an outstanding original WWII Army Air Forces flying helmet set, consisting of a 1944-dated AN-H-15 summer flying helmet with factory-installed ANB-H-1 receivers. A very desirable and increasingly hard-to-find configuration. The AN-H-15 helmet was widely worn by USAAF aircrew during the later war years, prized for its lighter weight and comfort in warmer climates. This example remains in very good used condition, showing honest wear consistent with service use while retaining excellent overall presentation. The helmet is complete, including the original chin strap assembly, and displays the Army Air Forces winged star insignia applied to the front, adding strong visual and historical appeal.
The interior label is intact and clearly indicates a size Medium. Of special note, this helmet retains its original factory-installed ANB-H-1 receivers, complete with the correct Y-cord and PL-354 red plug. Finding an AN-H-15 with its original receivers still in place is uncommon and greatly enhances both collectability and value.Overall, this is a first-class USAAF headgear set with excellent originality and condition. A superb example for the advanced collector or for display alongside other WWII Army Air Forces flight equipment. Problem or concern contact me and I'll make it right. Once feedback is received I will reciprocate.
