WWII Army Air Forces Bomber jacket. Army Air Forces logo stamped on the top left arm, but has faded.
2 leather triangle pieces for clipping an oxygen hose, on the front of the jacket. 1 pencil pocket on the left sleeve, 2 snap pockets on the outside, 2 snap pockets on the inside; no holes is the pockets and snaps work. Zipper on jacket still works.
Cuffs and bottom band are knit. Inside lining is wool plush combo. The only issues are a small brown spot on the band on the backside, a small repaired area on the front left side of the jacket, and the tag on the inside under the collar has a small tear. The Army Air Forces split off into separate entities around 1947, so we know this is a WWII era jacket. The tag also states on the bottom:property of the Army Air Forces.
Considering age of this jacket, for the issues notated and any pictured, this jacket is in excellent condition when compared to other jackets I have seen. This is a great piece of history and very well preserved. Perfect for the WWII collector, military collector, vintage wear collector, or for a man-cave.
