WWII USAAF United States Army Air Force Officers Blue Wool Dress Visor Cap. FREE-POST AUSTRALIA-WIDE: 1-DAY DISPATCH SERVICE. For your consideration, you are viewing a Vintage early 1950s piece of US military history. This is a rare United States Army Air Force USAAF Officers Dress Visor Cap Hat.

The hat top is blue wool with red piping trim. It has a Black leather chin strap that is intact. The internal Sweatband is leather. The brim visor is Black patent leather and it has a woven Black cotton hat band with a front metallic Gold band attached by two brass USAF insignia buttons.

It has a large USAF brass emblem attached to the front of the hat. The cap with its insignia badge emblem identifies a regiment and much emotion is vested in such formal dress accessories by all senior members of the regiment. If this is not for you. This USAAF cap hat is vintage 50 to 60s, used, and in good condition for its age and use, the blue wool top is clean, without tears, stains or smell. The cotton woven cotton band is undamaged and unfaded. The metalic gold band is undamaged and the buttons are firmly attached. The patent leather brim is firmly attached and is a little worn on the central visor edge. The black leather chin strap is undamaged and firmly attached. The inner sweat band has a speckled dry mould, the leather is undamaged, it is attached but has come loose. As New - An item that looks like it has just had its shrink-wrap removed. No visible wear, the item is flawless and intact. Excellent - Minor wear consistent with age and history.

Very Good - Minor to moderate wear and tear. Good - Moderate wear and tear, but still has good years left. Fair - Has lived a "full life" and has a distressed look with noticeable wear.
