This is a fine World War II Army Air Corps Navigators wing by the American Emblem Company that remains in excellent condition. The wing is full size and measures 3 inches from wing tip to wing tip. It is extremely well struck and exhibits sharp detail. The astrolabe is cast integrally into the wing.
The semi-hollow reverse is marked'A. Utica, NY' in raised letters in the center. The swing pin and roller locking catch are in place and remain fully functional.
The sterling silver now with a very attractive age toned patina. A fine-looking example that is in excellent, undamaged condition.
