This is a fine World War II Army Air Corps Navigators wing in the scarce Bell Pattern that remains in excellent condition. The wing is full size and measures 3 inches from wing tip to wing tip.
It is extremely well struck and exhibits sharp detail. The astrolabe is cast integrally into the wing. The semi-hollow reverse is marked'STERLING' in raised letters in the center. The swing pin and roller locking catch are in place and remain fully functional. The sterling silver now with a very attractive age toned patina.
A fine-looking example that is in excellent, undamaged condition.
