WW2 US Army Air Forces Type O-1 Aircraft Ammunition Box Ammo Can B17 B24 BOMBER

This WW2 US Army Air Forces Type O-1 Aircraft Ammunition Box is in very good, clean condition and only shows modest signs of age and service. The only markings that can be found are what appears to be an ink inspection stamp and the "35 D 3891" stamped on the lower right front facing side. This box appears to be an Early War example is is a side-mounted.

All hardware is clean and only light signs of age can be detected, it looks almost as if it were never issued. No dents, gouges or scratches can be found. These boxes were commonly used on US B-17 and B-24 bombers, as well as ANM2 Ring Carriage mounts. This would be a wonderful addition to any advanced WW2 US Army Air Force collection and very difficult to upgrade. Please examine the photographs carefully for the best description of condition.
