Rare Authentic WW2 U. S. Army Air Corps/Force Airship Pilot Wings Sterling Silver

Army Air Force Airship Pilot Wings by N. They measure 3 3/16 long, weigh 22 grams (the 1970's/80's Meyer re-strikes weigh 25 grams) and are made of die stamped Sterling Silver.

There's no Sterling mark on this set, but have been tested and are guaranteed to be Sterling. The re-strikes also have a large funky Sterling stamp, which these clearly are absent of. The pin opens to about 45 degrees as shown, which is also what you want in an original wing. They have to correct WWII era Meyer incised shield as shown in detail in the last photo. They have not been cleaned by us, and would likely benefit from a gentle cleaning and or light polishing.
