Contains color images of the Coast Guard, Army, Army Air Corps, Marine and Navy divisional patches, insignia, devices for wear, badges and ranks for the units that participated in World War II. There are color images of all the Army, Army Air Corps, Marine, Navy and Coast Guard medals, insignia, devices for wear, badges and service ribbons as they were at the time of World War II. This includes the Women's Reserve of the U.Naval Reserve (WAVES), Women's Reserve of the U. Coast Guard Reserve (SPARS), U.
Marine Corp's Women's Reserve, Women's Army Corps (WACS), as well as the Army Hostess and Librarian Service. Also included are color illustrations of insignia for the U. Coast and Geodetic Survey, U. Army Transportation Corps Vessels, Air Carrier Contract Personnel, American Red Cross and the Civil Air Patrol.
This book shows all the official clasps/bars for the Victory Medal and further identifies which bars were awarded by the respective branch of service (Army & Navy) so that one can easily identify that a Victory Medal was awarded to a soldier or sailor. The book is in FAIR to GOOD condition!! The book has normal wear from use most noticeably along the spine. Top and bottom of spine are bumped with the back cover slightly separating. The front cover has separated from the spine. Book pages exhibit lite browning due to age. There are no locations of writing and/or highlighting of the text that I could find from a cursory review.
