US WW2 Army Air Force Type A-4 Mechanic's Wool Watch Cap Toboggan W Stencil S259

For sale here is a great looking US WW2 Army Air Forces Type A-4 Mechanic's Wool Watch Cap. This is about as good as it gets. I have never come across another example of this cap that still had the white Air Force stencil present. The cap appears unworn and unissued.

The stencil shows some degradation, but is present. The words at the bottom aren't legible, but it is clear what it is.

Of course, it is less clear when it is stretched out for wear. The internal tag is neatly sewn in and is black and silver and states that the cap was made by Goodwear. The cap does show some soiling and dust from prolonged storage, but is very nice. This should prove impossible to upgrade. This will wear or display well.
