Original A-1s are extremely rare today, so What Price Glory, the incomparable military reproductions house, has produced an exacting recreation in goatskin. This US Army Air Corps 1930s Pre-WW2 PILOT A-1 GOATSKIN LEATHER FLIGHT JACKET is a high quality MODERN REPRODUCTION by the famous What Price Glory. It's in near mint condition, with a few very small surface nicks at the back right shoulder, missing the interior bottom right front backing button, and with some light scattered wear evident (ALL pictured).
Otherwise, the jacket is in near mint shape, with no other damage to the lustrous "milk chocolate" brown goatskin leather construction. Most interestingly, it's a Size Medium, boasts the classic exposed button front placket, and sports elegant dark brown knit wool blend collar, cuffs, and waistband, single exposed button flap closure lower front pockets, a dual brown finished metal "glove" snap closure front waist, a dual button and leather loop closure throat latch, a spun brown cotton lining, brass ventilation grommets at the underarms, and all of the "horn swirl" flat rimmed plastic buttons throughout. A beautiful representation of a US Army Air Corps 1930s Pre-WW2 PILOT A-1 GOATSKIN LEATHER FLIGHT JACKET.
We have shown a photo of an Army Air Corps flier in the 1930s wearing a similar A-1 flight jacket. The item "US Army Air Corps 1930s Pre-WW2 PILOT A-1 GOATSKIN LEATHER FLIGHT JACKET WPG" is in sale since Wednesday, July 15, 2020.
