RARE Original World War II 3 Inch Sterling Silver U. Army Air Corps Pilot Wings.Lloyd Garfield BALFOUR (LGB), Attleboro, Massachussets. This attractive, heavy (16.5 gram), full size, 3 inch WWII U. Army Air Corps GLIDER Pilot sterling wing was stamped from a thick sheet of sterling silver. Both sides of this lovely Balfour manufactured wing are polished, the obverse to a mirror-like finish bright high points, and perfectly contrasting patina in the obverse recesses. The reverse of the central National Shield is hallmarked LGB STERLING.
