This is a gem of a find. It is an original Army Air Forces issue Type A-11 Intermediate leather flying helmet. Helmet is in excellent overall condition. Chin strap assembly is complete and fully functional. Leather is soft and supple. Original label indicates this is a desirable extra large. During WWII very few extra large size were made.

Demand was low as most required small and medium helmets. Today the extra large size is almost non existent. This is an excellent condition helmet in a nice size.
