Original WWII USAAF US Navy Type HS-33 Aviation Headset ANB-H-1 PL-354. Up for sale is an authentic, original World War II era U. Military flight crew aviation radio headset assembly. This iconic style of communication gear was standard issue for USAAF bomber pilots, fighter crew members, and naval aviation personnel throughout the war. It is an exceptional candidate for immediate museum static display or pairing with a vintage flight helmet or crusher cap.

Item Details and Technical Specifications. Headband Assembly: Genuine HB-7 spring steel frame stamped clearly on the metal adjustment plates and wrapped in its original stitched tan leather cover Audio Receivers: Twin matching low impedance ANB-H-1 earpiece receiver units with crisp model text clearly visible on the receiver shells. Ear Cushions: Factory correct black rubber. Wiring Loom: Original heavy fabric covered twisted dual cord wiring harness Connection Jack: Distinctive original crimson red model PL-354 radio terminal plug. This historical artifact is in excellent, as-found vintage condition, displaying far less wear than typical surviving examples.

The original brown leather wrapping on the headband is near perfect with clean stitching and only one or two minor surface scuffs. There are two faint military ink stamps on the leather surface that have softened and faded with time as shown in the close-up photos. The cloth insulation on the wiring loom remains structurally sound.

The black rubber ear cups remain remarkably flexible and pliable across their main bodies, displaying their original molded MC-162-A part number markings explicitly along the material. There is a slight hint of typical atmospheric hardening along the very outer edges of the central openings as shown in the close-up photos, which is entirely normal for original wartime vulcanized rubber. This headset will be carefully wrapped and packed securely inside a dedicated small box to ensure safe transit without altering or putting pressure on the leather headband or the pliable rubber ear cushions.
