The helmet is a named example, with a handwritten name ("Matt Mathors" or "Mathers") and partial address visible inside. Condition is very good for age, showing honest service wear.
Leather components exhibit expected age-related cracking but remain intact. Rubber ear cups are original and show typical WWII-era rubber degradation.
One small hole is present near the rear leather strap and is clearly shown in photos. Helmet has been carefully handled with gloves, lightly dusted only, and stored wrapped in non-acid paper with filler paper and an oxygen absorber for preservation. Army Air Force's aviation gear.
