WWII US Army Air Force AAF M1 & M2 Flak Vest (Front & Rear) 1943 Original #2

WWII Era US Army Air Force AAF M1 & M2 Flak Vest (front & rear) - Dated 1943 - NICE Condition - Very RARE. Up for sale is a WWII Era Original US Army Air Force AAF M1 & M2 Flak Vest. This includes both the front and rear sides of the vest.

These vests were used by the Flight Crews that flew the US Bombers over Europe during WWII. The vest consists of a front and rear portion, that are attached by Lift the Dot fasteners on the shoulders. The vest was also designed to attach Groin Panels to the bottom of the vest. The Groin Panels are NOT included with this offering.

The vest is OD Green on the exterior and Tan on the interior. It is made with fragmentation panels on the interior lining. The vest show soiling and numerous rust spots on both the interior and exterior.

Some minor oxidation on the metal fasteners and parts. It has an adjustable waist belt. The labels are present but are illegible or difficult to rear. You can just barely make out a 1943 date on one of the labels.
