The central eagle disk is affixed to the wing as a separate piece that is firmly held in place by two round pins that are bent over on the reverse. The wing is extremely well struck and exhibits the distinctive British fletching to the wing feathers. The reverse is with the characteristic British triangular hinged pin and open catch assemblies both of which remain functional. The reverse is marked,'J. GAUNT - LONDON' behind the central disk.
The wing is now with a very attractive, light age toned patina. A beautiful looking wing that remains in excellent, undamaged condition.
