US WW2 Army Air Corps Officer's Crusher Style Visor Hat Cap Society Brand 7 1/4

For sale here is a great looking US WW2 Army Air Corps Officer's Crusher Style Visor Cap. This is not a true crusher. It has a soft flexible bill and soft body. The visor features a light OD doeskin wool body with soft brown leather bill and soft brown leather chin cord and backstrap. The eagle has Air Corp style pointed wings and shows great detail with nice frosting.

The light brown mohair band is in perfect condition. The doeskin body of the cap is nice with some soiling and wear. There is one moth hole in the top of the cap and there are some other moth tracks that do not go through the wool. The cap is lined in gold satin and the sweat shield has lightly darkened. The leather sweat band is supple and does have some seam separation on the wearer's right side.

The hat is maker marked Society Brand Headwear of St. The cap is size marked 7 1/4. However, the hat wears more like a small 7 3/8.
